Hi Gordon,
My name is Alex Chandler. We spoke briefly last year regarding some of your photos you took of me standup paddlesurfing Hurricane Leslie. I was hoping that I could get some pics from you in effort to submit some to Standup Journal Magazine. I am thinking that at least one of these pics could be published in this top notch publication. My email is windsurfal@hotmail.com or 229 6193. Thanks for your time.
Alex.

I have been trying to find information on Glady's Canteen in Nova Scotia. My husband and I camped around Canada in the 1970's and found this wonderful restaurant. We extended our stay in the area for a couple of days so we could eat there again and again. Wonderful fish chowder. Is it still there? Would love to visit it again.

I have seen your bird photography on pbase and really like your work. I have a new photography forum and we have a section dedicated to birds where you can share your work, get comment/critique on it, and can also help others by leaving comment/critique on their work. We have a really great group of photographers on there and would love for you to join and share you work too. We also have many other dedicated photo sections
Hope to see you on the site

Stumbled across your picture gallery and they are great shots, in fact excellent shots. We especially love the wildlife pictures. It's nice to see a Bridgewater native make a wave or two. All the best from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Hello, Gordon,

I came across your gallery in a search for Nova Scotia on PBase. Great work, sir! I summered for years as a youth in the "ancestral home" next to the United Church in West Dublin, not far from you. My brother has purchased the home and returns every summer from Tokyo. I recognize many of your locations. I have never taken shots of the area in winter so that may be a plan for this year. By the way, do you know Al Bent (a relative) and Sylvia Gunnery, a former colleague? Keep up the fine work. There is plenty to fill a lens with down your way, isn't there? All the best.

I have your galleries bookmarked at work, so when geography and the passionate absurdity of the daily grind cloud my mind, I can seek solace with the surf, sand and sky.
Thanks. It's great therapy.
Take me home to Rockledge, my home by the sea, everything I am is there, and everything I'll be.

I'm from the South Shore and now live in Atlanta. (My nephews are Joel and Jake) You're shots brought tears to my eyes knowing that my daughter won't grow up in that environment and experience life on the South Shore. You captured the essence of the area so well. Thank you so much for sharing them.

I used to have an Uncle living in London, Ontario. I spent a lot of time there as a kid. A beautiful city, in my experience.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures. I'm just getting started with electronic processing of them, so stay tuned.

Cheers.

Hello Gordon,

Jenny gave me the URL for your photos when I told her how much I wanted to move away from this blast furnace of a city, and relocate somewhere like Nova Scotia. Great looking photos. I've been playing with digital snapshots lately and am wanting to move into a camera with more control so that I can try again to take better photos. I recall that you were the first person I ever saw with a digital camera, at the old Towery Publishing offices. I think you took my picture. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Good to see the pipes are coming as well. I engaged a piper here named James Brown to come and play at the graveside service when my father died a couple of years ago. He was outstanding, both as a piper and a person. Glad you're keeping the tradition alive.

See you soon, and please say hello to Janice as well. It really was a lifetime ago that she was working down in the Lincoln-American Tower.

Bye,
David Dawson
